Personal Description: Straight, spiky dark brown hair, almost black. Neatly trimmed at the sides and back. He has a small, boyish face but with angled cheekbones and a prominent jawline. He always has a mischievious gleam in his eyes. He wears a black, long-sleeved jacket that looks also like the top of traditional chinese clothing, with a deep green lining, but his jacket is more form fitting, he usually leaves it open, and it ends just below his navel. He wears a plain white shirt underneath. His jacket has some silver plating on it. Two thin strips on his left shoulder with small spikes jutting out, and another two thin strips on the right side, slightly above where it ends. A slim chain juts out from a spikeson his left shoulder and coils around one of the rings on the plating on the lower part of the jacket, goes back up to wrap around one of the spikes and comes back down to join to another ring. The chain acts as a seal and a trigger for one of his Special Abilities (SAs) - Air-trotting. He wears black jeans and sneakers with a bright-green flame-pattern on the sides.

Signature Moves: Level 1- Infinity Arrow
                             Level 2- Crown of the Sun
Description of SMs: Okay, before we continue, I want to explain that a signature move is an ability that sums up the unique strengths or qualities of any Leandasian. Level 2 is an extension of this ability and it may or may not be closely linked to the Level 1 SM. Level 3 is usually a combination of Level 1 and 2, or a more controlled and powerful version of Level 1 or 2.

                               Level 1- Infinity Arrow
Bakuryu discovered this ability during a practice match with Uriko during which both of them got a little carried away. A desperate attempt by Uriko to take him out forced it to surface. This move, as shown in the previous chapter, is basically a bolt of very, very poreful energy that is fired in the form of an arrow. Like in the story, Bakuryu can change the strength or function of his arrow by adding a special command when he summons his Infinity Arrow, e.g. "Infinity Arrow: Light/Dark/Fire/Water/Anger/Love etc."
                               Level 2- Crown of the Sun
It is rumored that the Infinity Arrow is the perfect attack: Simple, fast, powerful, deadly. If that is so, then the Crown of the Sun could well be the perfect defence. It is a ring of light that emits a golden bubble that surrounds him and anyone else he wishes and can protect them against many powerful attacks. It was also discovered during a fit of desperation during a life-threatening battle between him and another Leandasian enemy.

Description of SAs:
                               -Mitengan
Another one of the "Doujutsu", the special eye jutsus that are passed on within certain ninja families. This "doujutsu" was created by Len HanaUmi, the son of the founder of the HanaUmi family, Raven Lexington. Raven Lexington founded the HanaUmi family because he was bored of focusing on his elemental powers(the specialty of the Lexington family) and he wanted to continue studying ninjutsu, which would later on become the HanaUmi family's signature. Len HanaUmi had inherited the Byakugan from his mother, a doujustu which gives a person a 360-degree field of vision. Combining it with some special elemental and energy-related knowledge of his own, he created the Mitengan.

The Mitengan not only provides a 360-degree field of vision within a wider radius, it also allows a person to see different types of energy in the air, recognise it and classify it as shown in the start of chapter 2. It also allows its user to create clones made of chakra (special energy used by ninjas) and fire chakra bolts through their Mitengan eyes. It's a bit taxing on the user's energy though. As such, Bakuryu only uses it during a battle which he deems to be important or life-threatening.

                               -Air-trotting
Many Leandasians can fly. Some use wind manipulation. Others use storm powers, levitation, gravity reversal or even the wings of their beast forms. One of the special abilities that Bakuryu's beast form gives him is the ability to run on air- Air-trotting. When the chain on his jacket is pulled and a little energy charged through it, it bursts into a gust of green smoke that coils around him and settles at his feet. He can literally walk on air, with the choice of strolling running or just letting the wind carry him along. However, a small disadvantage of this is that a small, almost unnoticeable trail of green mist is left behind for a short while, making it easy for those who are skilled enough to follow him. It's kinda' risky, but he loves the feeling AND he's a fearless b*stard.


Life Story:
                   Michael and Ruby may have had their issues, but Bakuryu had a really weird life.

                   Bakuryu was the only child of his family. His father, Kaizer HanaUmi, was a famous and powerful swordsman and Poison Master, even more well known for his ability to combine the two skills together. Since small, Bakuryu was placed under a lot of pressure to live up to his father's name. He tried, really hard, and while he did have some small talent, he, at that time, lacked the knowledge and pure skill required to be good.

                   At the young age of 10, Bakuryu ran away from home to find refuge in the Jade forests due north of his home. He stayed there, using his energy to communicate with the greenery around him and discovering his natural aptitude for Nature manipulation. He even made friends with the animals and sprites living there. He was happy, for the first time in a long time.

                  He had lived there for only about a year when everything changed. There was a wolf spirit who was almost as old as the First Generation of the Assembly of  Lune. He was an evil thing and had lived his life possessing others and stealing their abilities. When he found out about the tailed-beasts (powerful creatures who warred with the ninja clans a long time ago), he had possessed each of them, stealing a portion of their power and copying it before he left them again. After collecting power from all of the nin tailed-beasts, he had created a tailed beast within himself, the ten-tails, the most powerful of all the tailed beasts, said to be as powerful as all the other nine put together.

                  This powerful but foul creature found Bakuryu and, sensing the abundance of power and untrained talent he contained and also his natural affinity with wolves(his Beast Form), decided to take control of him, for his last host had been too weak to sustain him. Being inexperienced, Bakuryu lost control rather easily to the spirit and had lain waste to the forest around him. The creatures and trees of the forest grew to fear him and the spirit within him, and Bakuryu was none the wiser.

                  At the time, Michael's life had only begun to stabilise. He had heard about the massacre in the Jade forests and had been asked by King Neptune to go and investigate. He found Bakuryu, lying in the middle of a crater, hugging himself and radiating dark energy. Bakuryu had only just begun to fight the demon within, but in doing so, he had become conscious of the damage he had done. Overcome with grief and remorse, Bakuryu had almost given up hope and was about to let the darkness consume him once more when Michale showed up.

                 Michael helped Bakuryu to rid hinself of the spirit and the spirit was, with their combined efforts, destroyed. Michael saw great potential in the small and innocent boy. He decided to take him back to his mansion and train him.

                 As the years passed, Michael found out that when the wolf had possessed Bakuryu, it had unlocked his dormant talent and used it for its own pleasure. While it wasn't a good thing for the Jade forests, it had been a good thing for Bakuryu as he was able to use his abilities more freely after that.

                 Another thing that both Michael and Bakuryu were shocked to discover was that when the spirit had possessed Bakuryu, the ten-tailed wolf that the spirit had created had decided to break its ties with the spirit and latch onto Bakuryu, giving him far more power than he originally had and a much bigger energy reserve than even Michael had. This didn't come without disadvantages though, he often face great problems when the Ten-Tails fought to get out of him. When he overused his own energy and his body began to burn through the Ten-Tails' power, it often tried to possess him too. It took a long time for him to learn to control its power and use it for good.

                Bakuryu was a typical student. Always arguing with Michael, trying to find his own way to do things, secretly working hard to please his master... Under Michael's tutelage, he had become a lot more than the poor boy who was hiding in the Jade forests. He continued to seek knowledge and power, at some point he even became hungry for it, a desire which Michael always kept in check.

                Bakuryu met Uriko after Michael had introduced her into the Assembly. They started out like cats and dogs but pretty soon became close friends. They had started dating about a year ago.

                All this brings us to today. Bakuryu is still a bit childish at times, with Uriko playing the role of older sister and girlfriend, reprimanding him when necessary and kissing him every other time. He's still striving to beat Michael and he's become a great swordsman, earned the title of Lord of the Forests because of his Nature manipulation, he's a natural talent when it comes to ninjutsu, and he has made peace with the Ten-Tails within him. They have become great partners. He still has Uriko as his girlfriend and he's still.... a fearless b*stard.
